Bacon Pralines
Bacon in pralines makes them even better!
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, white sugar, sea salt and heavy cream. Bring to a boil. Stir in butter, pecans, bacon and vanilla. Heat, without stirring, to 240 degrees F or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms a soft ball that flattens when removed from the water and placed on a flat surface. Remove from heat and let cool 5 minutes.
  2. Beat until thickened (careful not to over stir), then pour immediately onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and cool.
